Whitehorn Real Estate: Community Association

Whitehorn offers an active community association all year around. The association runs newsletters to keep everyone updated and activities to keep all included. Some activities include game nights, food nights and more. This creates a safe environment where residents can have leisure. The association also runs programs such as free book days and a preschool program. Whitehorn is very dedicated to catering toward all demographics as it has a constant 55plus group where they run special events for just seniors. This is also seen with young children as the association runs a dedicated group of girl scouts. If a dedicated community association is something that you look for or are interested in being a part of, Whitehorn is the right place for you.

Whitehorn Wide Array of Homes: Demographics & Amenities

Whitehorn is a growing community that was established in the year 1973. It is bounded by McKnight Boulevard to the north, 52 Street E to the east, 32 Avenue N to the south and 36 Street E to the west. The Peter Lougheed Centre is located south-west from the neighbourhood. The population has reached 12,326 people that live in 3,703 dwellings as of 2014. The range of housing is narrow with 71% being single-family homes and most of the rest duplex with some townhouse/condo options. The neighbourhood is connected with Rundle, Temple and Pineridge to create the name “Properties”. All four communities are built primarily of single detached and semidetached uniquely designed homes. The schooling options in the community are Annie Gale Junior High, Chief Justice Milvain Elementary and Colonel J. Fred Scott Elementary, as well as St. Wildfrid Elementary (catholic).

The community of Whitehorn is a growing one. This has to do in part due to all the available amenities surrounding the neighbourhood such as malls, green space, major roadways and its very own C-Train station. Having your communities own C-Train station is huge as it opens up a world of possibilities and ease of access. Visit Chinook mall, city hall, the downtown core, countless restaurants and businesses in no time. You will be thankful for the easy commute in the morning and the countless opportunities around you.
